The MPOAC Institute is a one-day in-person retreat, designed specifically for MPO Board members.
It provides invaluable insights into metropolitan transportation planning and decision-making processes. The Institute will cover topics related to federal and state regulations, as well as the roles and responsibilities of the MPOAC and MPOs.

Elected officials currently serving on a Florida MPO Board, including alternates. Both newly-elected and veteran Board members are welcome.
The Institute is a one-day in-person event. It typically follows a 9 am to 5 pm schedule with a lunch break.
There’s no registration fee to attend the Institute. For lodging, travel, and meals, please coordinate with your MPO Executive Director, since coverage varies by organization.
No. The Institute is designed for exactly that situation. Newcomers consistently report that it accelerates their first year on the Board.
